Sumitomo Electric Networks, Inc. today announced that the company took part in the first interoperability test of DPoETM (DOCSIS® Provisioning of EPON) 1.0 hosted by CableLabs® in Louisville, Colorado with other DPoETM vendors on January 24th through 28th and completed all tests. Sumitomo Electric Networks brought DPoETM System and DPoETM ONU into the interoperability test.
Sumitomo Electric Networks, with a long history of interoperability with other GE-PON vendors, is committed to the continued success and progress of DPoETM standardization activities and looks forward to participating in DPoETM continued interoperability tests in the future. Sumitomo Electric Networks plans to release a DPoETM capable system this year.
